All you need
The shopping street of Bergisch Gladbach is only a five-minute walk from the apartment. Below is a selection of some useful facilities within walking distance of the apartment.
Miyabi A Japanese sushi restaurant on the street corner Google maps
Wirtshaus am Bock A traditional local brewery where you can have a drink and simple but tasty food. Google maps
Ristorante La Fornace An Italian restaurant ten minutes away by car. Tip: They deliver excellent pizza. Google maps
TacoMex A Mexican restaurant around the corner where you can also just have a drink. Google maps
Restaurant Dröppelminna Schramm An excellent Restaurant. Tip: A 45 minutes’ walk from the apartment to the restaurants is worth it. Google maps
Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg The best restaurant in Germany and one of the best in the world is just 15 minutes driving from the apartment. Google maps
Zur post A Michelin-starred restaurant, ten minutes by car from the apartment. Tip: Visit the Altenberg Cathedral, an impressive Gothic cathedral near the restaurant. Google maps
McDonald’s A five minutes’ drive from the apartment. Google maps
Bakerie Peter Lob A good bakery at a five minutes’ walk from the apartment. Google maps
Supermarkets Lidl, Aldi There is an Aldi in town, but this one has a lot of parking spaces. Google maps

City Bazar bergisch Gladbach A Turkish supermarket just a three minutes’ walk from the apartment. Google maps
Evangelische Hospital A hospital five minutes from the apartment. Google maps
Marien Hospital Another hospital five minutes from the apartment. Google maps
Pharmacy ‘Rosenapotheke’ A pharmacy at the corner of the street. Google maps
Activities
There are plenty of activities in Cologne or the Bergische Land region. Below a selection of activities we like to do over and over again:
Industrial Museum Alte Dombach A short 15-minute walk through the forest to the town’s paper mill museum. You can visit the museum, but also have a drink or a simple meal in a restaurant next to the museum. The attached Google Maps link shows the walk through the forest. Google maps
Altenberger Dom A beautiful large Gothic cathedral that almost looks out of place in the middle of forests and small villages because of its impressive size and style. Google maps
Freilicht Museum Lindlar A museum about how people traditionally lived in the Bergisch Land region. Most of the facilities are outside and there is a lot of walking involved. If you like that, it is definitely worth it a visit. You need a car to get to the museum. Google maps
